# Stats & Attributes

Every item's power is **fixed and predetermined**. There is no randomness — an item's name determines its stats forever.

## <mark style="color:$success;">Rarity and Total Power</mark>

An item's rarity tier sets its total power budget:

| Tier      | Total Power |
| --------- | ----------- |
| Common    | 15 pts      |
| Rare      | 40 pts      |
| Legendary | 90 pts      |
| Ultimate  | 180 pts     |

This total is always the sum of that item's Curse + Doom + Hex.

***

## <mark style="color:$success;">How the Power Splits</mark>

The power budget is distributed across three forces. The split is unique to each item and derived from its name. Some items are balanced (roughly equal across all three), others are specialists (one force very high, the others low).

**Common item (15 pts) examples:**

* Balanced: Curse 5 / Doom 5 / Hex 5
* Specialist: Curse 10 / Doom 3 / Hex 2

**Ultimate item (180 pts) examples:**

* Balanced: Curse 60 / Doom 61 / Hex 59
* Specialist: Curse 126 / Doom 27 / Hex 27

***

## <mark style="color:$success;">Total Power</mark>

Your effigy's total power is the sum of all Curse + Doom + Hex across every equipped item.

With 6 item slots (body, blade, offhand, necklace, left eye, right eye), a typical full build lands between **200 and 800** total power. An all-Ultimate setup can push toward the theoretical maximum.

***

## <mark style="color:$success;">Strategy</mark>

* **Chasing Total Power?** → Equip the highest rarity items you have
* **Targeting the Curse ranking?** → Prioritise items with a high Curse split
* **Doom or Hex rankings?** → Same logic

You can see each item's individual Curse / Doom / Hex values in the Equipped Items list on the right panel.

The three dark forces that make up an effigy's power.

***

## <mark style="color:$success;">Curse</mark> ☠

Active, directed malice. The force of harm, binding, and intent. Sharp-edged, deliberate, merciless objects carry high Curse.

**High Curse items:** Blades, claws, teeth, bone-carved weapons.

***

## <mark style="color:$success;">Doom</mark> ☽

The weight of inevitability. It does not strike — it settles. The slow accumulation of fate, the certainty that something terrible is coming. Ancient, grave-touched objects that carry the memory of death hold high Doom.

**High Doom items:** Skulls, grave dirt bottles, ancient tablets, funeral objects.

***

## <mark style="color:$success;">Hex</mark> ✦

Ambient dark energy — spreading like a stain, impossible to contain. A pure Hex object doesn't need to be wielded; its presence is enough. Crystals, orbs, sigils, and eyes carry this force.

**High Hex items:** Crystal shards, scrying stones, runic objects, eye motifs.

***

## <mark style="color:$success;">Balance vs Specialisation</mark>

The three forces are not rivals — all three contribute to your Total Power. But the Ritual Rankings have **separate leaderboards** for each force, which opens up different collector strategies:

* **The Curse Witch** — razor-sharp build, high Curse, destructive and precise
* **The Doom Bearer** — heavy and inevitable, Doom-focused build
* **The Hex Weaver** — diffuse and everywhere, Hex-optimised

## <mark style="color:$success;">Where to See Stats</mark>

Each equipped item's Curse / Doom / Hex values are shown in the right panel list. The three circles at the bottom show your running totals.
