# The Ritual

Every action in <mark style="color:$success;">**Hex & Stitch**</mark> is a <mark style="color:$warning;">ritual</mark>.\
Each one has a purpose, an order, and a consequence.

## <mark style="color:$success;">I. The Gathering</mark>

***

Before a doll can be [bound to soul](/hex-and-stitch/bound-souls.md), it must be dressed.

\
Open each category in the left panel — Body, Blade, Offhand, Necklace,\
Eyes, Mouth — and choose your artefacts one by one. Each item youselect is staged: held in waiting, not yet committed. The doll in the preview shifts with each choice, showing you what could be.

<div align="left"><figure><img src="/files/DBqqOWisapeL4q5LT36Y" alt="" width="375"><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

This is the ritual of intention. Choose deliberately.

## <mark style="color:$success;">II. The Casting — Bewitch</mark>

***

When your selections are ready, the <mark style="color:$warning;">Bewitch</mark> button appears below the preview. <mark style="color:$warning;">Click it.</mark>\
The ritual veil descends. The circle turns. Your effigy is rendered, every layer composited into a single image. Body, blade, offhand, necklace, eyes, mouth. All bound together in one form.\
\
This is the moment of commitment. Staged items become equipped. <mark style="color:$warning;">The doll is complete.</mark>

> *<mark style="color:pink;">Bewitch is only available when you have pending changes. If nothing</mark>* *<mark style="color:pink;">is staged, the ritual has nothing to seal.</mark>*

## <mark style="color:$success;">III. The Unboxing — Opening a Pack</mark>

***

Packs are NFTs. Each one is a sealed container of dark potential.

\
Connect your wallet.\
Your packs appear in the Packs section. <mark style="color:$warning;">Click Open.</mark>

<div align="left"><figure><img src="/files/XLg2nNDVjQJgEO4QYgwN" alt="" width="375"><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

{% endcolumn %}

{% column %}

<figure><img src="/files/VTxlgR8bUhA3HV9cmsou" alt="" width="375"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>
{% endcolumn %}
{% endcolumns %}

\
The seal breaks. An animation plays — the ritual of unbinding. When it ends, your items are revealed one by one. Each drop carries a rarity a category, and a stat profile unique to that artefact's name.

<div align="left"><figure><img src="/files/1ZO0UcGeSyUgrrC9nzcz" alt="" width="375"><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

Click <mark style="color:$warning;">Close</mark> to seal the transaction.\
The items enter your inventory. The pack mint is recorded — it cannot be opened again.

> *<mark style="color:pink;">There is a 10% chance each pack contains one item of the next rarity tier. Common packs can yield a Rare. Rare packs, a Legendary. Legendary packs, an Ultimate. Ultimate packs yield only what they promise — they are already the peak.</mark>*

## <mark style="color:$success;">IV. The Binding — Bound Soul</mark>

***

<div align="left"><figure><img src="/files/zU7nYiWgCJvfIQg5PHc2" alt="" width="375"><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

A completed effigy means nothing unless it is bound. In the right panel, below your equipped items and Total Power, sits the Bound Soul slot. Click the save icon to bind your current build to your soul. A thumbnail is sealed. Your item paths, colours, and overlay settings are recorded.

If your wallet is connected, this binding syncs to the cloud — persistent across devices, tied to your address.

This is what the Rankings see. Not what you're currently building. Not your inventory. Only what you have bound.

> *<mark style="color:pink;">You may rebind at any time. The old soul is released. The new one takes its place.</mark>*

## <mark style="color:$success;">**V. The Judgement — Ritual Rankings**</mark>

***

Once bound, your effigy enters the Rankings. Click Ranks in the menu bar. Every witch's Bound Soul build is measured. Curse, Doom, and Hex are tallied across all equipped items. The totals determine your place.

<div align="left"><figure><img src="/files/yGZhn4dlubA4PUDRY3Z6" alt="" width="375"><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

&#x20; Four rankings exist:

* <mark style="color:$warning;">Total Power</mark> — the sum of all three forces
* <mark style="color:$danger;">**Curse**</mark> — directed malice
* <mark style="color:blue;">**Doom**</mark> — inevitable fate
* <mark style="color:pink;">**Hex**</mark> — ambient dark energy  &#x20;

&#x20;&#x20;

Your rank updates the moment you save a new build to your Bound Soul. The Rankings reflect the current state of every bound soul in the collection.

## <mark style="color:$success;">VI. The Chaos — Let the Ritual Decide</mark>

***

If intention fails you, surrender to chaos. <mark style="color:$warning;">**Click**</mark> <mark style="color:$warning;">**the dice icon**</mark> or <mark style="color:$warning;">**randomize button**</mark> in the menu bar. Every slot is filled at random from your available inventory. The ritual chooses your body, your blade, your offhand, your necklace, your eyes.

*<mark style="color:$warning;">**You may re-roll as many times as you wish. The ritual has no memory of what it chose before.**</mark>*

> *<mark style="color:pink;">**Randomization only pulls from items you own. It cannot give you what you have not earned.**</mark>*      &#x20;
